Upcoming Training Programs
Youth Connections (YC) is an initiative of the St. Paul Public Housing Agency (PHA) that serves youth from birth to age 24. Through the Youth Connections program, the PHA promotes and/or facilitates services that not only positively impact youth success and promote the joy of learning, but supports youth development and leadership, values culturally responsive mentoring, promotes cultural enrichment activities and civic engagement opportunities, and incorporates fun activities for youth living in PHA family sites.
The goal is to provide respectful and culturally sensitive out of school time, educational support services, information, and fun activities that connect youth with each other as well as help them begin to build a professional network. Listed here are links to many of the opportunities available to youth at specific PHA sites.
If you or someone you know is between the ages of 14 and 24 (PHA residents only) and are interested in the PHA youth programs and services, we want your input. We are currently creating a Youth Advisory Council. Contact us to share your ideas or learn more about becoming a member.
We will update this information once a month and let you know what is coming up. If you have any questions or additions to the programs listed here, please do not hesitate to call or email Khadar Osman (khadar.osman@stpha.org, 651-298-4929).
