The City Wide Resident Council (CWRC) is made up of elected resident leaders from five family councils. Each council represents residents of family housing sites and acts as a link between them and the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency (PHA). While each council operates independently, they receive guidance and support from the PHA.
CWRC meets every two months on the Second Monday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and the fouth Monday of the same month at the Mt. Airy Community Center.
Here are some things CWRC does:
Provides advice to the PHA on issues affecting family housing areas.
Partners with the PHA and Presidents Council on various projects.
Manages funds from HUD and the PHA for activities that benefit all family areas.
Applies for grants to support community initiatives.
Mission: CWRC's main mission is to advocate for residents before the PHA and other agencies, promote leadership, self-sufficiency, safety, and education through programs, and encourage positive relationships between residents and PHA staff.
